Thousands of Beer Enthusiasts Set to Converge at the Seventh Annual Wild West Brewfest

Thousands of beer enthusiasts will converge at Katy Mills Mall, the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in South Texas, at the seventh annual Wild West Brew Fest (WWBF). Festival-goers will tap into more than 600 craft and local beers from over a 100 brewers, savor regional cuisine and enjoy live music, game zones, beer gardens, games, prizes, the legendary WWBF Beer Babes, bagpipers and more!

The Katy Wild West Brew Fest principals are members of the Brewers Association of America, a passionate voice for craft brewers, and take no fee from this event. They participate to give back to our communities by donating 100% of the profits to local charities. “We do this out of love for our communities and for our fellow citizens” said David Loesch, Wild West Brewfest Chairman. “We could not do this event without the help of our fellow Rotarians and the 600 plus volunteers who help us put this event on. It is an amazing time for both the patrons and the organizers. We have watched it grow from a small event with 1,700 people six years ago to close to 9,000 today.”

The Launch Party is scheduled for Friday, May 4th in the VIP Hop House.  Attendees will enjoy “one offs” featured by local brewers and sample great food, enjoy live music and take home a commemorative pint glass.

On Saturday, May 5th, attendees will enjoy activities including Texas Specialty Tent, featuring most Texas Brewers and all local brewers, multiple beer gardens, can zones, a climate-controlled silent auction space featuring a specialty bar serving unique craft brews sponsored by H-E-B, the Hop House featuring one-of-a-kind beers, food and music provided by the Deacon of Funk, sponsored by BB&T. In addition, the WWBF will have a patio for their patrons of the Hop House, and for select sponsors, a Reserved Craft Room.

“The Reserved Craft Room (RCR) will offer select vintages of rare beers along with food hosted by our RCR Crew.  This room is only open to selected sponsors of our event,” said Loesch.
