Jingle Tree Back at HMNS at Sugar Land: Decorate the Holidays with Natural Science

The holiday season is a magical time, and even more so at the Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS) at Sugar Land with one of Fort Bend’s most anticipated holiday traditions – Jingle Tree. The special event features a showcase of beautifully decorated trees that are up for bid in a week long, online silent auction sponsored and decorated by local designers, museum supporters and artistic visionaries. Jingle Tree takes place November 12th-18th and the Honorary Chairs are long- time museum supporters and Fort Bend residents Phillip and Elizabeth Butler.

The museum is proud to announce this year’s presenting sponsor is Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. “Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is excited to join forces with our neighbors at HMNS Sugar Land this coming holiday season,” said Chris Siebenaler, Regional Senior Vice President, and Chief Executive Officer at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. “Jingle Tree is one of the most festive annual events in our area, and it benefits our local community. The museum is such an important, educational gem for the families that call Fort Bend home.”

“HMNS at Sugar Land is dedicated to preparing, and hopefully inspiring, students to include science in their studies and careers,” said Kavita Self, Senior Director, HMNS at Sugar Land and the George Observatory. “Through stunning exhibitions, educational programming and special events, like Jingle Tree, our goal is to make the natural sciences more accessible and interactive for all our visitors”.

This year’s schedule of events includes:
Tree Lighting Friday, November 12th, 10 am

Join local officials, community leaders and museum volunteers at this VIP media event to kick off Jingle Tree festivities.  The trees “come to light” and you get a closer look at holiday décor showcased throughout the museum. VIP Experiences: Monday to Wednesday, November 15th to 17th

Get in the holiday spirit by viewing the holiday décor at the museum in a special private shopping experience. Enjoy light bites and beverages while you visit – a perfect time to spend with friends! Tickets available online.

The Festive Finale: Thursday, November 18th

At Jingle Tree’s premier event, the evening begins with honorary tributes to our presenting sponsor and chairs, and highlights the generous sponsors and donors supporting Jingle Tree. The evening’s festivities include an auction with exclusive museum experiences and final bidding on the beautiful designer trees and holiday décor.
