Chamber Launches Historic Downtown Rosenberg Division

The Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance’s Board of Directors approved a new division that will help maintain the recent resurgence and momentum of Downtown Rosenberg.

At a recent Chamber board meeting, Another Time Soda Fountain owner Renee Butler and Rosenberg Mayor Vincent M. Morales Jr. provided support on behalf of the proposed division. The Chamber’s board then officially formed the Historic Downtown Rosenberg Division (HDRD) with a unanimous vote.

“If we want to fulfil our mission as a Chamber of Commerce, we need to put a strong emphasis on the local business community, and it doesn’t get any more local for us than downtown Rosenberg,” said Chamber President Shanta Kuhl. “Mayor Morales, the Rosenberg Development Corporation, and of course, the downtown merchants have done a tremendous job revitalizing the heart of Rosenberg. The Historic Downtown Rosenberg Division will work to build on the established momentum by helping the merchants market their annual events and to achieve their business goals.”

The HDRD becomes the Chamber’s fourth division. In 2009, the Chamber established the Hispanic Business Division and the Young Professionals Division. Last year, it christened the Fulshear Area Business Division.
