Wildflowers! are in bloom at The George Ranch Saturday, April 19th – just in time for Easter. Wildflowers! features fields of wildflowers, Easter Egg Hunts, Shetland Sheep and more! For information, visit www.georgeranch.org.
It’s Spring in Texas, and at Richmond’s historic George Ranch, that means one thing: Wildflowers!
The perfect family-friendly outing debuting Saturday, April 19th, The George Ranch brings Wildflowers! to the ranch featuring spectacular fields of wildflowers and Spring activities galore. The one-day event features wildflower backdrops and fields perfect for family photos, along with meet and greets with the Ranch’s newest residents: six Shetland Sheep – Flora, Angel, Jester, Andy, Moonlight and Marble. Shetland are smaller in size, and their wool is pulled instead of sheared. These friendly residents will be joined by the Ranch’s baby chicks, which will also be on display.
Wildflowers! features two Easter Egg Hunts, so bring your baskets! Children ages 4 and under will hunt at the Ranch House at 11:30 am. Children ages 5 and up will hunt at the South Yard at 1:30 pm. Of course, the Easter bunny will be hopping around the Ranch – the perfect opportunity to snap an Easter photo.
Other activities include face painting and boxed picnic lunches available for sale, or guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch. Advance reservations are required for the boxed picnic lunches.
“Wildflowers! is a great way to celebrate both Spring and the Easter weekend with family and friends,” said Adrienne Barker, Executive Director. “We invite everyone to come out and enjoy Spring at the Ranch.”
Wildflowers! is Saturday, April 19th from 9 am to 5 pm with events scheduled throughout the day. General admission is required for all activities. For more information about Wildflowers! and to purchase tickets, visit georgeranch.org/things-to-do/wildflowers-at-the-george-ranch/.
