Friends, supporters and staff gathered at The George Ranch Visitor Center on February 18th to unveil the results of The George Ranch’s 200th Anniversary Campaign at “The Grand Finale Toast to the 200th.”

The goal for the campaign was set in January 2024 at $200,000, and the year-long campaign exceeded this goal by raising $212,700.

“I would like express our sincere thanks to all of the donors who helped make The George Ranch’s 200th Anniversary one for the record books,” said 200th Anniversary Chairman Tim Kaminski.  “Because of your support, The George Ranch is able to continue its mission of student education.”

The 200th Anniversary Campaign supported the Historic George Ranch Association created in 2024 to manage The George Ranch, a 475-acre tract dedicated to student education.  “We are proud to welcome over 25,000 students annually to the Ranch,” said Roger Adamson, George Foundation CEO.

The Ranch celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2024 with a series of signature events to honor this milestone in Texas history.  Older than the State of Texas, The George Ranch kicked off its 200th year in January 2024 with a reception at the historic home of Mamie and Albert P. George on the Ranch for friends and supporters to highlight the upcoming year.  Multiple activities marked The George Ranch’s anniversary in 2024, including the opening of the new 8000 square foot Visitor Center, a commission of a Limited Edited Single Barrel Bourbon and bottling event, a VIP singer/songwriter event with Grammy award-winning musician Paul Overstreet, a two-day CPRA Rodeo, a month-long fall favorite “The Great Pumpkin Round Up” and the Ranch’s signature Frontier Days.

An acknowledgment of the 200th Anniversary Campaign donors has been created and will be permanently displayed in the Visitor Center on The George Ranch.
