The Sugar Land Heritage Foundation is pleased to announce the 3rd annual “Night at the Museum” on February 29, 2024, at the Sugar Land Heritage Museum in Sugar Land! This exciting event will be highlighted by a selection of fine wines graciously provided by John and Diana Null, Joe and Ann Schmidt, and Himesh Gandhi, as well as an array of delectable cuisine, provided and partially sponsored by Allison Wen.
Attendees will enjoy an evening of sipping wine, visiting with friends and touring the museum showcasing Sugar Land’s history. The evening will include a heartfelt tribute to former Sugar Land Mayor Jimmy Thompson for his instrumental role in the founding of the Sugar Land Heritage Museum. While serving as mayor, Thompson worked to create the Sugar Land Heritage Museum for the purpose of inspiring community pride by collecting, preserving, communicating and celebrating the history of Sugar Land, Texas. Thompson continued this philosophy and was instrumental in supporting Bill Little’s (former mayor) writing of his book on the history of the sugar factory and life in Sugar Land when most folks worked for the factory.
