Winners for the 2013 Keep Rosenberg Beautiful and Rosenberg Image Committee Christmas lighting and decorating contest were formally announced and recognized at the January 21st City Council Meeting.
The lighting and decorating contest was intended to revive a tradition and call attention to the great decorations and festive properties in Rosenberg. The contest recognized the “best of the best” of Rosenberg properties in categories including: best home, best neighborhood, best business and most extravagant or the “Clark Griswold” award. Members of the Rosenberg Image Committee judged properties, and winners had special beautification yard signs placed to acknowledge the honor. In addition to the Rosenberg Image Committee and Keep Rosenberg Beautiful, generous contest sponsors, including Allegiance Roofing, Paramount Printing and Living Waters Christian School, facilitated the contest.
Winners for the 2013 contest were: Best Home – 2904 Mons Avenue – Bonnie Burns; Best Neighborhood – The Reserve at Brazos Town Center; Best Business – The Gingerbread House Daycare – 2417 4th Street – Kathryn and Tim Kaminski and Most Extravagant – 3041 Muegge Road – Mrs. Joyce Bartos.
The Image Committee recognizes properties monthly for beautification and renovation efforts that develop community pride by improving Rosenberg’s image and positively influencing public perception. Citizens are invited and encouraged to nominate fellow citizens or local businesses for the monthly awards by contacting Citizen Relations at 832-595-3301 or emailing image@ci.rosenberg.tx.us.
