Rosenberg Assistant Police Chief Tracie Williams Dunn.
Rosenberg Police Chief Dallis Warren recently announced the promotion of Lieutenant Tracie Williams Dunn to Assistant Chief of Police. With the promotion, Assistant Chief Dunn became the highest-ranking female officer in the history of the Rosenberg Police Department.
“Tracie will continue to be an integral part of our management team, bringing new perspectives to bear as we build upon our past successes and develop innovative strategies to meet future challenges,” said Chief Warren. “I am excited to work with her in her new role as Assistant Chief.”
Dunn is a certified Master Peace Officer and will begin the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas’ Leadership Command College at Sam Houston State University in November 2014. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Masters of Administration in Organizational Development from the University of the Incarnate Word.
Dunn has over 20 years in criminal justice experience, including work for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and as a Court Manager for the 73rd Juvenile District Court. Her last 13 years of experience have been as a licensed peace officer.
“I look forward to working in tandem with the Department and community to make the Rosenberg Police Department an exemplary public safety organization,” said Dunn. “Not only does this promotion fulfill a dream of mine, but it also reminds me of the importance of striving each day to be a selfless leader who exemplifies good character, competence and courage.”
