This issue is all about love. February is officially the month of love, and frankly, I just love Valentine’s Day! What’s not to love about a holiday that yields homemade heart cards from my children, flowers from my husband and excessive amounts of chocolate? And, since Valentine’s Day happens on a Friday this year, I am officially starting the movement to expand it to a three-day holiday. After all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays and the starting of a busy new year, we girls could use a three-day holiday filled with love . . . and of course, chocolate.
For my fellow chocolate lovers, what’s better to pair with chocolate than wine? Our Vinesleuth shares the winning formula for pairing wine and chocolate on page 32 – a perfect activity for the Valentine’s Day weekend. February is a busy month in Brazos with so many community and fundraising events and many are listed on our Events Calendar. We will be out and about in Brazos at several of these events, and we hope to see you there.
