Saturday with the Master Gardeners

February 1st, 9 – 11 am

Saturday with the Master GardenersJoin the Fort Bend County Master Gardeners in four acres of demonstration gardens and talk to volunteers who design and maintain them. The event is a great way to learn about gardening and plants well-suited to Fort Bend County. Park in front of the Agriculture Center, located at 1402 Band Road in Rosenberg. Weight Management Open House
Learn to manage your weight with medical and surgical programs at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. An Introduction to Honey Bees and Beekeeping
The Texas Master Naturalist Coastal Prairie Chapter will host Jeff McMullen as the speaker for their February monthly program at Bud O’Shieles Community Center, located at 1330 Band Road in Rosenberg. His presentation will include an introduction into honey bee biology, colony organization and the keeping of bees. The meeting will be preceded by a social time and snacks at 6:30 pm. Boots & Badges Gala 2014
Join Behind the Badge Charities for an evening honoring local heroes – police, fire, EMS and other emergency response personnel – with dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions at George Ranch Historical Park, located at 10215 FM 762 in Richmond. Fort Bend Boys Choir Gala Dinner and Auction
Enjoy a fun, casual evening of great food, lively bidding and an awesome performance by the award-winning Tour Choir at Safari Lodge at Safari Texas Ranch, located at 11627 FM 1464 in Richmond. The patriotic theme encourages attendees to dress in period attire, such as bomber jackets, military dress or fatigues. Proceeds will help support all five ensembles of the Fort Bend Boys Choir. Men Who Cook   
The annual event, presented this year by SiEnviro, will feature entertainment by Ken Mondshine and the Brotherhood Band, along with the tasty temptations of more than 50 celebrity chefs and a live auction. Proceeds will benefit Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (L.E.A.F), and the event will be held at Safari Texas, located at 11627 FM 1464 in Richmond. Learn How to Recognize Reasons Behind Children’s Behavior
George Memorial Library will present “Understanding Child Behavior: Helping Children Succeed,” at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.
