From audition opportunities to a Christmas Musicale, it’s time to get in the spirit of the season with the Fort Bend Boys Choir.
Boys who love music and singing can audition for the Fort Bend Boys Choir at an open audition scheduled for Saturday, December 7th. Young boys from all over the Fort Bend and Houston metropolitan area have the opportunity to learn more about music and singing, as well as many of life’s important lessons like leadership, making friends and building self-confidence and self-esteem – all in a safe, proactive setting.
Boys age eight and older with unchanged voices are invited to audition, and no previous singing experience is necessary. Open auditions will be held at the First United Methodist Church Missouri City located at 3900 Lexington Blvd. in Missouri City, from 9 am to noon on Saturday, December 7th. Scholarships and carpooling assistance are available.
Do you hear what I hear? It’s the sound of singing boys! Join the Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas at their annual Christmas concert also on Saturday, December 7th. Three performing choirs – Training, Town and Tour – will be showcased at Sugar Land Baptist Church located at 16755 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land at 7 pm. Special guests include Music Magic, the organization’s music class for 6 and 7 year-olds.
Tickets are available by calling the choir office, from any choir member or at the door. Adult admission is $15 and children 12 and under are $5. All proceeds from the Christmas Musicale are used for program support, operational expenses and scholarships.
