Sandra Compton, Chief Financial Officer
The George Foundation is pleased to announce Sandra Compton as our new Chief Financial Officer.
Sandra brings more than 20 years of experience from a Houston-based public accounting firm, where she developed deep expertise in financial auditing, tax preparation and review, and strategic financial advisory services. Throughout her career, she partnered with clients across a wide range of industries, including farm and ranch operations, real estate, high-net-worth individuals, and private foundations. This breadth of experience uniquely positions Sandra to lead the Foundation’s financial operations and provide strong stewardship of the Foundation’s diverse assets.
Sandra Compton succeeds Sandra Thompson who recently retired after twenty-seven years of outstanding service as the Foundation’s CFO.
Originally from Victoria, Mrs. Compton grew up learning the value of hard work, strong relationships, and community while working in her family’s business. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston–Victoria and is excited to begin her next professional chapter with The George Foundation.
