The Wild West Brew Fest Set to Impress While Giving Back

The Wild West Brew Fest (WWBF) continues to expand for the 2017 event, showcasing pure beer nirvana in its 6th year. A Launch Party is set for Friday, May 5th and the WWBF for Saturday, May 6th at Katy Mills.

“Within this massive space, you will find over 200 brewers featuring over 600 craft brews,” said David Loesch, event chairman. “We are adding some new fun things this year for the 2017 event and are very excited to showcase them to our crowd.”

As with the 2016 event, 8th Wonder Brewing will sponsor the game tent, which will include pinball, arcade video games, shuffleboard and air hockey, all free to guests. In addition, patrons can enjoy over 12 unique taps. Another massive space sponsored by Jordan Ranch will have games such as boxing, golden tee and basketball.

A VIP tent known as the Hop House will feature over 30 taps of rare beer in a climate controlled space, as well as food and music provided by the Deacon of Funk. No Label Brewery will provide their version of a beer garden along with a separate area sponsored by Growler USA and their unique spin on the same concept. These zones will feature a custom tap wall with over 15 taps and open air seating.

Presented by the Rotary Club of Katy, the WWBF is 100 percent volunteer, and 100 percent of the net profits are donated. In 2016, the event brought in $130,000, which was given to several local charities, bringing the total amount given away in its five-year existence to over $300,000.
