The Needville Education Foundation’s Blue Jean Ball

Shelley Krauss director of the Needville Education Foundation.

The Needville Education Foundation (NEF) continues to soar into their sixth successful year helping Needville Independent School District (NISD). NEF has awarded over $250,000 in educational resources to NISD classrooms from pre-K through 12th grade and expects to be well over $300,000 in 2020.

Executive Director Shelley Krauss established NEF to bridge the gap between the limited budgets in classrooms and help assist the teachers in bringing new ideas and resources to Blue Jay students every day. The response from the district has been overwhelming, and NEF is thrilled to continue with their adventure in supporting A-Rated teachers in NISD. Fort Bend County has been very supportive to Needville, and the journey NEF has taken. Needville is growing so fast, and we are excited to see how things are evolving.

January 17th, 2020 will mark NEF’s sixth annual fundraiser, The Blue Jean Ball.  The event will take place at the Columbus Club Hall on Highway 36 in Needville.  The venue, which has been renovated over the past year, has been the main gathering place for many benefits, weddings and social events in the ever-growing community of Needville.

The Blue Jean Ball will open its doors at 5 pm with a catered meal at 6 pm. Shorty Yeaman will kick off the live auction at 7 pm. A dance will follow with the sounds of DJ Jody Teykl. Tickets are on sale now for $25 for individual seats. VIP tables are also available: the $2500 Wrangler Table seats 12, the $1000 Cinch Table seats eight and the $500 Levi table seats six.  All tables come with signage and print in programs. Special treats and perks are available with the Wrangler Tables.

NEF welcomes all live and silent auction item donations and will pick-up if needed.

Come out to Blue Jay Country on January 17th, 2020, and see first-hand the pride NEF has in their community and school district.
