Fall-Time in Brazos! –

There’s nothing like fall-time in Brazos!  The sun begins to change, there is a certain crispness in the air and the cotton gins are ginning cotton giving off a distinct smell that reminds me of the fall. Not only are the sights and smells changing, but right here in our community there is an abundance of events to get us out, having fun and enjoying the fall season.

From Needville to Richmond, festivals abound this time of year. From the time our kids were young, we always took them to local festivals, and oh, what fun we had!  It’s the best family-friendly entertainment, and you might just learn something along the way. This years’ Texian Market Days at the George Ranch and the Needville Harvest Fest are both celebra-ting their 35th year. Both promise to be bigger and better than ever. And of course, the 82nd Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo is always a favorite with something for everyone.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Our Focus on the Cure section has some informative articles to help educate you and your loved ones about awareness, detection and treatment options available in our community. We are so fortunate to have great healthcare right here in Fort Bend!

Looking to buy, sell or build a home? Check out our Home Is Where The Heart Is section on page 10 for tips, realtors and a custom homebuilder. There are some great ideas and resources to get you started.

Fall-time in Brazos is definitely filled with activities, galas, festivals and football. So get out this fall and enjoy all of the outdoor activities that our community has to offer. To see more great events, check out our Calendar of Events on page 6.

I look forward to seeing everyone out and about in Brazos!

Absolutely yours,

Kay Garrett
