March/April 2020 – Exclamation Points!

Kay Garrett’s grandson Canon James Kiehl reminds us to enjoy life through the eyes of a child.

Spring! A Time for Renewal –

Spring is the season of opportunity – don’t waste it! Just as the flowers start blooming and the trees begin to bud, you too can have a perso-nal renewal, a rebirth of everything that makes you unique. As the earth refreshes its soil and butterflies abound, dig deep within yourself to rejuvenate your life this spring. My grandson helps remind me to take time, enjoy life and see the world through a child’s eye.  Explore, try new things and literally –  stop and smell the flowers!

Once again our Brazos community is lucky to have world class healthcare. Our cover features Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. In just a little over two decades, Houston Methodist Su-gar Land has emerged as a highly specialized regional care facility. They are continuing to grow in their facilities, services and outreach. See our story on page 6.

To help you start that home project, check out our Home is Where the Heart is. There are some great ideas and resources to get you started. Our Medical Focus section in this issue is one not to be missed. There you will find many articles from family physicians to specialists throughout our community.

The Venardos Circus is coming to entertain us! This is a magical, whimsical, animal-free, unique Broadway style circus.  It will be a two week only, special event, so get your tickets now at Our Brazos community is filled with some other fun activities this spring! An ArtWalk and Motor Madness will be in Historic Downtown Richmond, and Historic Downtown Rosenberg will host an Artisan Market, a Derby Day Party benefiting Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship and much more. Absolutely yours,

Kay Garrett
