March-April 2018 – Exclamation Points!

Ready for Spring!

If you are anything like me, I’m sure you are ready for spring! After this past year’s roller coaster of weather from hurricanes to snow and ice, I’m ready to have some warm sunny days, blooming colorful flowers and clear starry nights.

Our cover featuring Methodist Hospital Sugar Land is celebrating their 20th birthday!  Congratulations!  I would like to say “thank you” to Methodist Hospital Sugar Land for providing an array of experienced medical services and specialists who have provided the finest in medical care to patients all these years. These services are all top notch, and best of all, they are right here in our community.

With the onset of spring, I begin to feel renewed as I spend more evenings outdoors on the back patio. I begin thinking of all of the home projects I would like to do. To help you get motivated to start that home project, check out our Home Is Where the Heart Is. There are some great ideas and resources to get you started. Our Medical Focus in this issue is also one not to be missed. There you will find many articles from family physicians to specialists throughout our community.

Speaking of opportunities, Brazos is bursting with great happenings this spring! From the Richmond State Supported Living Center’s 5k Ramble to an evening out at the ever popular Fort Bend History Association’s Lone Star Stomp at the George Historical Ranch to a Derby Day Party benefiting Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship – there is something for everyone. Check out our Calendar of Events on page 15 for even more great events.  I hope to see you all out and about in Brazos!

I’m definitely ready for spring and hope you are too! Wishing you a Happy Spring, a fun Spring Break and a Blessed Easter!

Absolutely yours,

Kay Garrett
