This year, Holy Rosary Catholic School (HRCS) in Rosenberg celebrates 80 years of excellence in education. Founded in 1941, Holy Rosary School attracts students in Pre-K through 8th grade from Rosenberg, Richmond, Sugar Land, Katy and Needville. Holy Rosary provides a high standard of academics while teaching children to lead by example and use their Faith to guide them through life.
The school’s mission is: “Grounded in our Catholic Faith and focused on academic excellence, Holy Rosary Catholic School educates the whole child – mind, heart and spirit!” Teachers and staff strive to foster a Christian atmosphere that embodies Catholic faith, while maintaining a high standard of academic excellence that focuses on each individual student. The hands-on curriculum enhances social and emotional development, as well as critical thinking and learning through exploration. HRCS is recognized as a S.T.R.E.A.M. Synergy School by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. S.T.R.E.A.M. is the acronym for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math. All teachers are state certified, and many have specialty certifications or advanced degrees.
Set on a 27-acre campus in the heart of Rosenberg, HRCS includes middle and elementary school buildings, two libraries, a computer lab, a science lab and a S.T.R.E.A.M. lab. The recently-updated playgrounds, cafeteria, library and classrooms add to the amenities that students are able to enjoy daily. Holy Rosary offers a variety of enrichment classes, extracurricular clubs and activities, competitive sports for elementary and middle schoolers, and an after school program.
