City of Richmond Hires Emergency Management Coordinator

The City of Richmond has a new Emergency Management Coordinator, Anthony Pryor, who comes to the position with over 18 years of experience in the fire and emergency service field.

Pryor most recently served as Captain with the City of Leander Fire Marshal’s Office. Prior to that, he was with the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office as Deputy Chief of Special Operations. Pryor has also served in the City of Victoria Fire Marshal’s Office, Manor Fire Department and Travis County ESD 4. “I am excited to serve in the community I live in and look forward to applying my knowledge and skill in Richmond,” he shared.

Pryor received his Bachelor of Emergency Management Administration from West Texas A&M, as well as an Associate of Fire Protection Technology from Austin Community College. He currently holds certification as Master Firefighter, Master Arson Investigator, Master Fire Inspector, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor II, Hazmat Technician and Hazardous Materials Incident Commander, as well as a variety of safety education certifications.
