Calvary Episcopal Preparatory Teacher Receives Award

Rev. David Madison, the Executive Director of Southwestern Association of Episcopal School (SAES), awarded the $5,000 check to Chris Mullen.

Calvary Episcopal Preparatory is proud to announce that one of their teachers, Mr. Chris Mullen, was honored with the “The Connie Wootton Excellence in Teaching“ award.

Mr. Mullen was presented this award, specific to Early Childhood, on Friday, October 25th at the Southwestern Association of Episcopal School (SAES) Convention in Houston. This award identifies an exceptional teacher working with Pre-Kindergarten students.

As stated by SAES, the recipient will: display passion for teaching and innovation, demonstrate a deep appreciation for professional development, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, desire their school to reflect an ongoing commitment to excellence, love the students and strive on a daily basis to help them achieve their personal best and exhibit commitment to the Episcopal approach to education which can be understood as “faith seeking understanding.” Mr. Mullen has had a positive influence on young learners as an early childhood teacher at Calvary for the past nine years.
