50th Anniversary Kicks Off with Inaugural Richmond Ramble 5K

Since 1968, the Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC) has served individuals living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.  This year RSSLC kicks off its Golden Anniversary with the inaugural Richmond Ramble 5k Run, Walk or Roll scheduled for Saturday, April 14th at 8 am.

Sponsorships for the Richmond Ramble start at $250, and participant registration is available for $30.  The event is open to the community, and participants who do not wish to run can serve as a sponsor for RSSLC runners. To register or sponsor, visit www.goVSC.org/richmond-ramble. Proceeds from the run will benefit the Volunteer Services Council (VSC) of RSSLC.

RSSLC is an intermediate care facility and residence for approximately 325 individuals who are diagnosed as Intellectually and/or Developmentally Disabled (IDD).  RSSLC serves thirteen counties in the Greater Houston Area.  The VSC of RSSLC is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of the individuals served at RSSLC. The partnership between the team at RSSLC and the VSC focuses on each individual, designing comprehensive plans to reach the highest quality of life possible.
